Our consortium was founded on May 23, 1998, and recognized by the Ministry for Agricultural, Food and Forestry Policies. The consortium performs promotion, fostering and protection of Bresaola della Valtellina PGI.
For that purpose, in synergy with associated companies:
- It promotes, fosters, organizes and participates in any kind of initiatives aiming at promoting Bresaola della Valtellina PGI, enhancing the brand image in Italy and abroad, raising awareness, enhancing its prestige, and promoting its consumption.
- It collaborates, in accordance with the Ministry directives, to the supervision and protection of Bresaola della Valtellina PGI from violation, unfair competition, counterfeiting, misuse of the protected denomination and any other illegal behaviour.
- It supports programmes for measures of structural nature and technical adaptation, aiming at enhancing the quality of production, in terms of health-hygiene safety, and chemical, physical, organoleptic and nutrition features of the product placed on the market.
